Teddy Bear Birthday Invitation Ideas

Teddy Bear Picnic Blanket Invitation

Level of Difficulty: simple

Supplies Required: plain red cards, red and white checkered scrapbook paper, brown construction paper, thin red ribbon, glue, scissors.

1. Hand write or print the text for the cards on your computer.
2. On the front of the invitation, glue a square of the red and white checkered paper.
3. Cut a teddy bear out of the brown construction paper (by using a stencil or cookie cutter).
4. Glue the bear on the red and white checkered “blanket” and glue a red bow to his neck.


Coloring Page Invitation

Level: simple

Supplies Required: teddy bear stationary, computer with a printer, stickers, crayons

1. Purchase teddy bear stationary and print the invitations with your computer.
2. Fold your invitations in thirds and print a black and white bear picture on the back that is suitable for coloring.
3. Add three primary crayons in with each invitation.
4. Seal your envelope with a teddy bear or paw print sticker.


Teddy Bear’s Picnic in the Enchanted Forest

Level: simple

Supplies Required: white card stock, computer and printer

1. Select wording for your invitation and design your card using curtz font (giving it a whimsical feel).
2. Add some clip art of teddy bears, butterflies and bumble bees.


Teddy Bear Scroll Invitation

Level: simple

Supplies Required: construction paper, red and white checkered ribbon

1. Hand write or print the text for the cards on your computer.
2. Cut teddy bears out of your construction paper (adding the wording to the bear’s tummy).
3. Roll your invitation like a scroll and tie it with your red and white checkered ribbon.


Fuzzy Fur Face

Level: advanced

Supplies Required: computer, printer, fake fur, fabric paint, googley eyes, scissors, glue

1. Create a bear face on your computer using clipart or a drawing program.
2. Print out a copy on 8 x11 white paper with the teddy bear face on the bottom half. The teddy’s ears should touch the centerfold when the paper is folded in half.
3. Hand write or print the text for the cards on your computer.

4. Print out your cards with one or more colors of cardstock paper.
5. Fold each paper in half with the teddy’s bears face as the front and it’s ears touching the fold of the card.
6. Cut a long the edges of the teddy bear’s face, including the space between the bear’s ears.
7. Using an invitation as a template, trace it on some fake fur.
8. Cut the fur and glue it to the front of the invitation, covering the entire front.
9. After the fur has dried, glue on plastic googley eyes, a black nose out of fabric or felt and draw a mouth with a fabric paint pen.

Note: Be sure to put the eyes low, 1/2 way down the face, for a cute baby bear look. The invitations can be mailed in 8 x 5 inch pastel envelopes found at any office supply store.
