Below we have listed a number of "beary" fun games for your child’s teddy bear birthday party.

Let us know if you have any suggestions for this page.

Toss the Bees into the Honey Pots

Supplies required: small toy bumble bees, honey pots

Bumble Bees: You can either purchase or make small stuffed bumble bees to toss. Small bees made out of felt or yellow material and stuffing would work well.

Honey Pots: Use small beach pails for your honey pots (plastic flower pots or garbage pails would work as well). You can decorate your pails with yellow construction paper, wrapping paper or felt. Use a black pen and write “honey” on them. You can further decorate your pails by using a few foam bee stickers.

Teddy Bear Freeze

This is a fun game for young children. Play music and have your young guests dance around with their teddy bears. Throughout the song stop the music and say “freeze”. The children then stop dancing and stay in the frozen position until the music starts up again.

Teddy Bear Bingo

You can print out free bingo cards online. Have your guests fill in the squares with teddy bear stickers or have them use teddy bear stamps with a stamp pad.

If you’d prefer to re-use your cards have them laminated and use regular bingo chips or create your own. To create your own, use your computer to print out small teddy bear or honey pots out on colored construction paper. Cut your pictures out in circles and use as markers for your cards.

Flying Teddy Bears

Using a blanket or tablecloth place the teddy bears in the center. Have the children circle the blanket and pick up an edge. Have your guests move it up and down, causing the bears to bounce around and fly up in the air. The last teddy bear left on the blanket wins!

Count the Teddy Bears

Fill a cute pint jar or clear container will Gummy Bears. Have your guests pass it around and guess how many are in the jar. The winner gets to take it home.

Stick the Honey Pot on the Bear

Supplies Required: poster board, construction paper, tape, marker

Before the party, draw a big teddy bear on a poster board. Using construction paper make a honey pot for each party guest and label it with their name.

Just like the game “Pin the Tail on the Donkey”, blind fold your guests and have them attempt to stick their honey pot on the bear’s hand. The one who is closest wins.

Honey...Honey...Bear!

This game is just like duck, duck, goose, only call it honey, honey, bear.

In this game, kids sit down in a circle facing each other. One person is "it" and walks around the circle. As they walk around, they tap people's heads and say whether they are "honey" or a "bear". Once someone is the "bear" they get up and try to chase "it" around the circle. The goal is to tap that person before they are able sit down in the "bear's" spot. If the bear is not able to do this, they become "it" for the next round and play continues. If they do tap the "it" person, the person tagged has to sit in the center of the circle. Then the bear becomes it for the next round. The person in the middle can't leave until another person is tagged and they are replaced.

Teddy Bear Hunt

Place a teddy bear in a box (his cave) and hide it somewhere for the kids to find. Depending on the age of your guests you can make it a treasure hunt with clues leading them from destination to destination. For younger kids, lead the way with paw prints taped to the floor and walls.

You can also use a honey pot instead of a teddy bear. Have the honey pot filled with candy or small toys for the kids to enjoy.
